Day 18) A magic moment you wish you could a part of

Oh my gosh you guys have no idea how badly I want to make these- for anyone :D 
Well there’s the usual ones like giving free stuff to people but then there’s like the really deep ones you read about that make the kids so happy that the parents start crying and you can really tell why it’s called a “magical moment”. One of those. I want to be a part of something that makes someone happy…. :)

Day 16) Favorite quiet place in the parks?

I have DOZENS of these!!!
And most of them are secrets ;)

One of my not-so-secret ones though….Would be Cinderella’s wishing well at night… maybe after the park’s closed, it’s so romantic and quite and the lights on the castle project such a warm, radiant, almost transcendental atmosphere… it’s just perfect… and not to mention where I’m going to get down on one knee and propose… maybe… one day…. :p

Day 5) Best place to talk to Cast Members?

I’ll let you know when I find out where I’m working.. ahar ahar ahaa *ahem*

The past few years I’ve been going into guest relations at the end of the day (when it’s emptiest that is) and asking for advice on applying to the College Program and honestly it’s where I’ve spoken to not only the best cast members but some of the best, nicest people on this earth.

Well I’ve never been backstage yet, but I’d really like to see inside Spaceship Earth with the lights on!!! That would be super duper cool!! :D

3) Advice for a future candidate

Don’t expect to be accepted first time round. The program accepts a lot of people who don’t deserve to be on it and rejects a lot of people who do. That’s just how it is. BUT if you endeavor hard enough and long enough you will get in eventually… you know… if you wish upon a star and all that ;)

Day 2) Which park would you like to work at?

I really really reallyyyyy wanna work at Epcot, specifically Future World, because let’s be honest, that’s the best place in all of WDW ;)

Hey howdy hey guys! SO with you’re help I finished coming up with a Disney College Program 30 day challenge so here it is, since TODAY MARKS 30 DAYS!!!



Day 1) Thing you’re looking forward to the most about working for Disney?

I’m probably most looking forward to making magical moments for the kids, well to be honest, not just the kids but everyone :D
When I was a small boy I remember having my whole life made by “magical” gestures from Cast Members, and it’s all I can hope for to be able to return that gesture to the next generation of guests!

Anyone who’s been/going have any tips for those first three days? xD

First you go through the whole process (im not even sure how much i can tell you) it pretty much takes all day. At one point you will be fingerprinted to see if you have a police report. Then you meet your roommates. And you have the option of taking a class. I suggest taking one because they will give you an extra day off. If you take one you get two days off instead of one. They do have a meet and greet party by the pool. Thats pretty much all i remember about the first few days.

DAY 1:
DO I LOOK LIKE A TOURIST YET???

So I’m in Florida just under 100 days so I figured I would start a journal-type thing… more for my own purposes to remember my experiences by- but you guys can follow it with me if you want xD I guess it would be useful if you’re doing the icp in the future :)

So today I was in London to get my Visa approved at the US Embassy. Considering I’d never actually gotten the London Underground on my own before I was quite proud of myself for not getting lost once! :D

There was a Pharmacy and a Starbucks on the same road as the Embassy, so after putting my things in the lockers at the Pharmacy (not allowed to take bags/electronics into the embassy) I sat outside Starbucks and met someone else who was on the ICP, so I wasn’t so alone xD
We then queued up outside the US embassy for about ten minutes before going through security. Inside the embassy is kind of like an airport waiting lounge. Just hundreds of people waiting to get various types of visa. We waited about forty minutes to be called to the desk to hand our documents in, they took our fingerprints and told us to sit down and wait for our numbers to be called for the interview. It was about two hours before that happened but we met another cast member inside so the time went by a lot smoother. They really didn’t ask anything trivial during the interview- just what you’re going to be doing in America and then you’re good to pay the courier fee and go.

Thheennnn I had like an afternoon to kill so I picked my stuff up and got more Starbucks (I’m a Frappuccino junkie xD) AND THEN I WENT TO THE DISNEY STORE ON OXFORD STREET YAYYY!!! They had a cool under water grotto thing to show off Finding Nemo 3D so that was cool :D Then I walked to Marble Arch, through Hyde Park, to Buckingham Palace, to the swapping of the guard thing, to Big Ben, the houses of Parliament, West Minister, and then I got the tube to Monument place, went to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, had lunch, got the tube back to Euston station and got a Virgin train outta there.

All in all, a nice little day out :D
(Oh and my visa was approved by the way.. just in case you were waiting with baited breath to see if it was :p You probably weren’t)
I guess day two of this will probably be June 2nd when I leave for the airport, till then:
